Tea to Call in the Dead: A Spiritual Journey with Tea Blends

I found myself standing in the crossroad. Right now, it feels like I'm hovering in this in-between space, kinda like I'm under the watchful eye of the Goddess Hekate. Today, my attention was totally grabbed by "All Hallow's Eve" from the Seasons of the Witch Samhain Oracle, like a strong shout-out to the souls who've left us. My eyes went to this photo of me and my late father on my desk, which is a sweet little nudge that he's still around. His spirit is near, keeping an eye on me as I figure out this next stage of my spiritual journey.

The Tea:

To prepare this tea, start with the spirit gathering - collect all your ingredients. You will need 1 part black tea as a base, sprinkle 1/3 part lavender, crush 1 bay leaf, 1 part elderberry, and place 1 blue lotus on top. Combine these ingredients in a tea infuser or teapot. Boil water and pour it over the ingredients, allowing them to steep for at least 10 minutes. After the tea has steeped, remove the infuser or strain the tea. It is now ready to drink. Enjoy this special blend as you connect with the spiritual realm and those loved ones that left this realm.

Tea Ritual:

Begin your ritual by finding a quiet, comfortable space where you can relax and focus. Cleanse this space of any negative energy, perhaps using sage or another preferred method.

Next, prepare your tea. While the water is boiling and the tea is steeping, take this time to center yourself. Close your eyes, take deep breaths, and clear your mind of any distractions.

Once the tea is ready, hold the cup in your hands and take a moment to set your intention. This could be a general desire to connect with the spiritual realm, or it could be a specific intent to communicate with a certain loved one who has passed away. Alternatively, you can call on the crone energy or dark goddesses such as Goddess Hekate, or simply wait for anyone to come forward.

Now, begin to sip your tea. As you do, open yourself up to any messages or feelings that may come. Don't judge or interpret anything that arises. You may want to have a notebook and pen nearby to jot down any thoughts or impressions that come to you. As you savor your tea, take a few moments to reflect on your experience.

When you finished your tea, thank the spirits for their presence and close your ritual. Remember, this is a personal journey and there is no right or wrong way to experience it.

Candle Magic:

A company of candles makes the ritual more magical. According to “Seasons of the Witch Samhain Oracle” - candles carries our intentions and send them out through the tips of their flames. Also, candles call in good spirits and nature’s helpers, who are drawn to the light of the flame.
