Persephone: Goddess of Spring & Queen of the Underworld
In our current astrological cycle, we first experience the Full Moon, followed by the New Moon. This sequence aligns perfectly when working with the Goddess Persephone, queen of the underworld. She spends the winter months in the underworld and ascends to Earth in the spring. With the Asteroid Persephone positioned at the degree of the New Moon Eclipse in our chart for this Full Moon Eclipse, we can sense her anticipated return.
You can connect with Goddess Persephone during transformative periods when you need divine assistance. This connection isn't limited to Eclipses or the changing of seasons of winter to spring. You can reach out during any Moon phase, from waning to New Moon. I just happened to connect with Persephone at this time because Eclipses intensify transformative energy, so her energy is more pronounced.
Persephone is widely known in mythology for being abducted by her uncle, Hades, also known as Pluto. This event often paints her as a victim, leading to a perception of her as a pitiful young girl wronged by Hades. However, when you truly connect with her energy, it becomes clear that she has matured into a respected woman, embodying wisdom and responsibility without losing her purity and innocence. Far from mired in self-pity, she reigns as a powerful, sovereign Queen of the Underworld. As spring approaches, she prepares to leave her adult responsibilities in the underworld and return to her youthful self by reuniting with her mother, Demeter, symbolizing a cycle of rebirth, renewal, and the advent of new beginnings.
Persephone Duali-Tea | Eclipse Season
She came to visit me in my dream, so I felt her presence and vibration first-hand. She was incredibly kind and soothing, exuding a gentle authority that quietly demanded respect. Yet, in her presence, I could sense her light-heartedness and immense capacity for love. It was as if her very essence was imbued with a deep sense of tranquility and warmth, casting a comforting aura around her.
Inspired by this encounter, I decided to craft a tea blend that would reflect her energy frequency. The ingredients chosen for this blend are not only flavorful but are also symbolic, each resonating with a unique aspect of Persephone's essence:
Green Tea: This choice mirrors the tranquility that Persephone, the serene Queen of the Underworld, embodies.
Nettle: Its healing properties align with the regenerative nature that Persephone exemplifies, providing comfort in her dual realms.
Peppermint: This herb symbolizes the gentle yet firm authority that Persephone wields both in the Underworld and the Earth.
Hibiscus Tea: Its vibrant color reflects the light-hearted spirit of Persephone, reminding us of her youthful joy as the Goddess of Spring.
Pomegranate Seeds: These directly link to Persephone's myth, representing her irrevocable connection with the Underworld and her role as its Queen.
Apple Tea: Apple, a significant symbol in Greek mythology, symbolizes love and beauty. This reflects Persephone's immense capacity for love, as seen in her reconciliation with Hades and care for her subjects.
Freeze-dried Strawberry: This ingredient adds a touch of sweetness, mirroring Persephone's enduring purity and innocence that she maintains despite her time in the Underworld.
Ingredients:
6 tablespoons Green Tea
3 tablespoons Lemon Balm
1 tablespoon Peppermint
2 tablespoons Cut and Shifted Hibiscus Tea
4 tablespoons Dried Pomegranate Seeds
6 tablespoons Apple Tea
4 Freeze-dried Strawberries
Instructions:
Blend all the ingredients in a bowl.
For each cup of tea, use one teaspoon of the blend.
Boil water and pour it over the tea blend.
Let it steep for 10 minutes.
Strain the tea into a cup.
Sip and enjoy the tranquil energy of Persephone's Essence.
Transformative Exercise from the Lunar Eclipse Waning Moon Phase to the Solar Eclipse New Moon Phase
Did you make the tea? Let's move on to the exercise! This course of activity will facilitate Karmic Path Cleanup and Karmic Healing, as well as setting an aspirational future timeline.
Reflect on Your Life Achievements: Take a moment to acknowledge what you've accomplished so far. Celebrate your successes and the goals you've reached. Consider what you've materialized or brought into existence in your life. Review your current responsibilities and commitments.
Identify Your Roles: Reflect on the various roles you play in life. This could be personal roles (like parent, partner, friend), professional roles (like manager, mentor, healer), or even abstract roles (like dreamer, fighter, peacemaker). Assign a meaningful title to each of these roles.
Categorize Your Roles: Classify each role into one of the following categories:
Past: Roles that were part of your previous life chapters but don't define you now.
Inevitable: Roles that you didn't choose but are part of your life.
Responsibility: Roles that come with duties you need to fulfill.
Vocational: Roles tied to your career or life's work.
Joy: Roles that bring happiness and fulfillment to your life.
This categorization process helps in understanding your evolution and current identity.
Self-Reflection: Spend some time in introspection. Contemplate who you were in the past, who you've become over time, the journey of the transformation, and who you are now. Recognize the growth and transformation you've undergone.
Vision of Your Future Self: At the New Moon Phase, allow yourself to look ahead and envision your future. Without worrying about the 'how', visualize 'who' you would be four years from now.
This exercise is about paving the way for your future timeline and setting a destination for yourself. Of course, it's important to remember that this destination can change as you evolve and grow. It's not an end-all-be-all, but a flexible goal that adapts to your journey. You’ll need to revisit and review this envisioned future from time to time, re-enter the destination to adjusting your path as necessary. This process helps to keep your aspirations aligned with your personal growth and changing circumstances, ensuring that you're always moving towards a future that resonates with your true self.
