New Moon in Aquarius: Unlocking the Power of a New Beginning with a New Moon Circle and Ritual Tea

Celebrate The New Moon in Aquarius: New Beginnings with a New Moon Circle

Yesterday was an incredibly special day - the New Moon in Aquarius! The New Moon in Aquarius is all about revelations, friendship, and foresight. Also, for me, it marked two major new beginnings. I made it to the live class session on the new course I'm taking, "How to Shine as a Sun Sign Columnist," at Kepler College for the first time, as I had missed the first class (Mercury was still in retrograde). My second new beginning was my first participation in New Moon circle at the Intuitive Touch Center with wonderful ladies. They are a collective of lightworkers, shamans, healers, therapists, and psychics who are looking for a new place, a new name: The New Beginnings. So, I suggested that we should have a new moon circle to discuss future visions and set intentions. Then, the owner, Rowynn, graciously included me as their "Resident Astrologer"! It was so inspiring and perfect under the new moon in Aquarius! So, I cast the chart for the new moon and made a tea blend to drink during the circle.

Unlocking the Mysteries of the New Moon Rituals: What a New Moon Circle is and What to Do In One

A New Moon circle is a gathering held at the start of the lunar cycle. It is a time for reflection, intention setting, and connecting with like-minded people. During the gathering, participants can share stories, set goals, and practice rituals to honor the energy of the new moon. The intention of a new moon circle is to create a space for group connection and setting an intention for the collective goals.

Here are a few activities you can do in your New Moon Circle:

  1. Gratitude: Sit in a circle and take turns sharing what you are grateful for in life.

  2. Manifestation: Write down a list of intentions and wishes for the next lunar cycle and place them in the center of the circle.

  3. Meditation: Spend some time in silence and reflection, connecting with your inner self.

  4. Singing: Use the power of sound to clear energy and lift vibes in the circle.

  5. Tarot: Draw cards and discuss the messages they bring to the group.

  6. Dance: Celebrate the new moon energy with some freeform movement.

  7. Vision Board: Gather supplies and create a vision board for the new moon cycle.

  8. Tea: Share a cup of tea and discuss the themes of the new moon.

These are just a few ideas for activities that you can do in your New Moon Circle. Have fun and be creative! Yesterday, at our New Moon Circle, I served a special blended tea, and we each shared our visions for the future and set intentions.

Celebrate The New Moon in Aquarius: New Moon Circle and New Moon Circle Tea

For the New Moon, the Sun and the Moon are together in 1º of Aquarius, I chose white tea and jasmine. White tea is the most minimally processed form of the tea plant Camellia sinensis. Jasmine, with its gorgeous appearance and divine fragrance, is perfect for facilitating the special moments along with white tea.

Angelica Root for Pluto, for grounding. Angelica root is commonly known as wild celery and has an earthy, sweet scent. It is very impactful with only a small amount, much like Pluto.

Rose petals for Venus; to cultivate a feeling of love and being surrounded by divine love.

I chose Wood Betony for Mars and Gok Cola for Saturn mostly because of their names; Wood Betony sounds like a wood fire = Mars, and Gok Cola sounds like the name of a wise, grumpy old man = Saturn. Also, they both have the property of enlightenment.

Blue Lotus for Jupiter-Neptune; For many centuries, the Blue Lotus has been revered as a sacred flower said to induce strong meditative properties and enhance third eye function, thus awakening.

Mugwort for Mercury-Uranus trine; the connection to higher realm. Mugwort, known lovingly as "Mother Herb", is a beloved herb used by witches for its psychic protection, also for dream work, clairvoyance, telepathy and astral projection.
