Hekate Deipnon (Dark Moon) Tea Ritual + Magic Spell

Just a month ago, my astrologer friend introduced me to the asteroid Hekate during a reading and pointed out its conjunction with my Sun-Venus-Mars conjunction at 0º-1º Cancer. Intrigued by this cosmic alignment, I began delving into the world of Hekate, reading Keeping Her Keys by Cyndi Brannen and following the rituals during the last moon cycle. Now, on my second round, I had the honor of leading my group of friends in a tea ritual and magic spell to honor the goddess of witchcraft, magic, and the moon.
The Tea
3 tablespoons of chamomile (sweet aroma)
7 tablespoons of butterfly pea (purple haze)
1/7 tablespoon of lavender (total peace)
1/7 tablespoon of ginger (lighting a fire)
1 tablespoons of orange peel (signpost)
To prepare tea, place loose leaves into a white cup and pour boiled water over them. Let the tea steep for 20 minutes.
Lunar Cycle
Hekate’s lunar cycle consists of five distinct phases.
Dark Moon - Deipnon; Honor through devotional act
New Moon - Noumenia; Intention setting
Waxing Phase; Doing magic that focus on attraction energy
Full Moon; Optimal time for all type of spell work
Waning Phase; Subtract things using magic
Hekate Deipnon Dark Moon
Hekate Deipnon takes place during the dark phase of the moon, honoring the powerful goddess Hekate. As we enter the transitional space between the end of one moon cycle and the beginning of the next, we are invited into Hekate's domain. This period is known as the dark phase of the moon, and it is a time of deep introspection and reflection. By taking part in the ritual of Deipnon, we can tap into the energy of this time and connect with the powerful and protective forces of Hekate.
Hekate Epithets
The term "epithets" refers to descriptive titles or names that are given to a deity or figure, and Hekate has many such epithets. Some of her most well-known epithets include "Goddess of the Crossroads," "Queen of the Witches," "Goddess of Magic," and "Mistress of the Night." Each of these titles speaks to a different aspect of Hekate's power and influence in the world of magic and mythology.
Today, we will channel the powerful energy of Hekate as we honor her as "Guardian," "Guide," and "Gate Keeper" at the crossroads. With her light to guide us, she offers us the key to unlock the doors of opportunity.

We ask Hekate to open the oracular realm and provide protection, and to grant us the key to open the door to our wish fulfillment.

Heka-Tea Egg Meditation
Begin by holding the cup with your left hand and the spoon with your right hand. Gently stir the tea three times in a clockwise motion to generate energy, and then three times in a counterclockwise motion to activate the energy.
Next, put down your spoon and hold the cup with your both hands. Take a deep inhalation of the aroma of the tea. Close your eyes and imagine yourself being enveloped inside a protective eggshell. You are safe and protected, just relax in the environment.
Take a first sip of the tea and imagine the dark black smoke rising from the ground. This is Hekate's protective energy as our guardian. As you savor the tea, feel this energy surrounding you and protecting you. You are now grounded and supported.
Now, take a second sip of the tea and imagine the white cloud-like smoke showering down from above. This is the divine energy of Hekate as our guide. As you savor the tea, feel this energy will guide you and help you as you find your way. Now your path way to divine is opened.
With the third sip of the tea, the black smoke and white smoke merge and turn the color to purple. Now, you are in the presence of Hekate as the gatekeeper. As you continue to savor the tea, visualize Hekate opening the gate of opportunity and guiding you towards the manifestation of your heart's desires.
You can continue to sip and savor the tea, and sit with Hekate’s energy and allow them to integrate within you and allow your wishes to emerge. But be sure to leave a last sip of the tea for closing ritual. When you are ready, gently open your eyes and write down your wishes.
